Mumbai, Sept. 9 -- Punjab & Sind Bank is strengthening its cybersecurity and data-protection measures in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for stronger safeguards in India's rapidly expanding fintech ecosystem, the bank's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Swarup Kumar Saha said on Wednesday.

Speaking to ANI on the sidelines of the Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai, Saha said public sector banks were aligned with the government's push to strengthen cybersecurity and protect customer data.
