Jalandhar, Aug. 13 -- The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has dismantled a multi-layered narcotics and arms smuggling network, arresting five people and seizing 1.5 kg of heroin and seven illegal weapons.

Punjab Police DGP, in a post on X, said, "In a major breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking and illegal arms, Jalandhar Commissionerate Police busts a multi-layered narcotics-arms smuggling network. Five persons apprehended and recovers a total of 1.5 Kg heroin and seven weapons from their possession.
