New Delhi, Sept. 3 -- As India bolsters its ties with the European Union and Europe, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever. The leaders met at Hyderabad House in the national capital.

Earlier, Prime Minister De Wever paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. He laid a wreath and offered flowers. The Belgian Prime Minister also signed the visitor's book at Rajghat.

De Wever is in India till September 4, at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a visit aimed at further strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation across trade, investment, defence, technology and connectivity.
