Rajkot, April 13 -- President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Rajkot, Gujarat, on Monday, marking the beginning of her four-day visit to the state and Maharashtra.

She was received by the Governor of Gujarat, Acharya Devvrat and Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare Anupriya Patel at the Rajkot airport

In a post on X, the Rastrapati Bhavan said, "Governor of Gujarat Shri Acharya Devvrat, and Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, and Chemicals & Fertilisers Smt Anupriya Patel received President Droupadi Murmu on her arrival at Rajkot, Gujarat", she said.

During her visit, President Murmu attended several academic and public events, including the first convocation ceremony of AIIMS Rajkot.
