Guwahati, Nov. 6 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present the Dr Bhupen Hazarika National Award to veteran singer Usha Mangeshkar at the closing ceremony of the birth centenary celebrations of legendary singer and composer Dr Bhupen Hazarika, scheduled to be held in New Delhi on November 29, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Friday.

Speaking to reporters here, CM Sarma said the Prime Minister has already consented to attend the event, which will feature performances by several national and state-level artists.
