Berlin, Oct. 22 -- Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal arrived in Berlin on Thursday for a two-day official visit to Germany to participate in the Berlin Global Dialogue and hold high-level bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening India-Germany trade and investment ties.

India's Ambassador to Germany, Ajit Gupte, said in a social media post that he received Goyal upon his arrival in Berlin.

Gupte said the minister's visit would focus on strengthening trade and investment ties between India and Germany and advancing cooperation in technology, green mobility and clean energy. Discussions will also explore opportunities emerging from the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
