New Delhi, Sept. 2 -- India's pharmaceutical exports recorded stronger growth in the first quarter of the current financial year, rising 6.8 per cent compared with the modest growth recorded during the previous year, Pharmexcil Chairperson Namit Joshi has said.

Joshi said the improvement came despite geopolitical challenges, including disruptions in West Asia, highlighting the resilience of Indian exports.

"What we saw in Q1, our performance was really on a hard side because our annual performance was a little subtle, like we grew by only hardly 2.13 per cent. But then when we compared it with Q1 performance of 2026-2027, then we grew by 6.8 per cent," Joshi told ANI.
