New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- Nigerian Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in New Delhi on Friday ahead of the 18th BRICS Summit 2026.

Nigeria holds BRICS Partner Country status along with Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. Earlier, Nigerian Foreign Affairs Minister Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu arrived in New Delhi to attend the summit.

Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in New Delhi. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also arrived in the national capital and was received by Minister of State for Education, Sukanta Majumdar.
