Nilambur, July 28 -- A newborn baby was found dead inside a bucket in the washroom of a private hospital in Akambadam on Monday.

The body was discovered by the hospital's cleaning staff while they were cleaning the washroom at Fatima Hospital.

According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect that the mother deliberately abandoned the baby in the washroom. Officers reached the hospital, conducted an inspection, and recorded statements from doctors and hospital staff.
