Bhopal, July 29 -- A meeting between a group of ministers and farmer representatives was held at the Mantralaya on Wednesday following directions from Chief Minister Mohan Yadav amid the ongoing farmers' protest over moong procurement.

Agriculture Minister Edal Singh Kansana, Minister Vishwas Sarang and Minister Krishna Gaur, along with officials from the Agriculture Department, are attending the meeting.

Today, protesting farmers attempted to move towards the Chief Minister's residence, breaking through barricades amid clashes with police.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the state government had constituted a committee to engage with farmers and resolve their concerns through dialogue.
