Datia, July 30 -- The Datia assembly by-election is witnessing steady polling on Thursday, with approximately 61.48 per cent voter turnout recorded till 3 pm, according to the data released by the Election Commission of India.

Voting is underway peacefully across the constituency under tight security and continuous monitoring by election authorities.

Earlier, the voter turnout stood at 48.91 per cent till 1 pm and similarly, 32.53 per cent was recorded till 11 am and 12.94 per cent till 9 am, reflecting a steady increase in voter participation during the day.
