Kolkata, July 16 -- West Bengal Leader of Opposition Ritabrata Banerjee on Thursday claimed that more leaders could resign from the Trinamool Congress (TMC) following Rajya Sabha MP Rukmini Koel Mallick's resignation, alleging that "dictatorship, fascism and authoritarianism" within the party had weakened internal dialogue.

Reacting to Mallick's resignation, Banerjee told ANI, "The kind of dictatorship, fascism, and authoritarianism that was established was harmful to democracy."
