New Delhi, July 7 -- The Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested Ansh Pratap Singh, the accused driver in the Mercedes hit-and-run case that claimed the life of a scooty rider near Jahangirpuri Bus Stand on the Outer Ring Road on July 5.

The deceased was identified as Deepak, a resident of Mangolpuri.

According to the Delhi Police, the fatal accident took place on July 5 near the Foot Over Bridge at Jahangirpuri Bus Stand on the Outer Ring Road (GTK Bypass towards ISBT). Police received information about the road accident, following which the injured scooty rider was found at the spot and was declared brought dead at BJRM Hospital.

During the investigation, police found that a Mercedes car had allegedly hit the scooty and fled from the spot. ...
