Meghalaya invites KSU for talks, refuses to bend on law enforcement
Shillong, Aug. 24 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Monday announced that the state government has officially extended an invitation to the Khasi Students' Union (KSU) for direct talks to address their five-point agenda.
The administration anticipates a response from the student body by Monday evening or Tuesday. The announcement follows recent violent incidents during a bike rally on August 19, which left several areas disrupted. While the government aims to clear misunderstandings and clarify its actions, the Chief Minister maintained a firm stance on law and order.
