New York, Sept. 21 -- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday (local time) rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange to kick off a high-level week surrounding the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

In a post on X, the US Department of State noted the significance of the event and wrote, ".@SecRubio rings the opening bell at @NYSE to kick off the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week in New York."

This comes as world leaders prepare to gather at the UN headquarters for the annual high-level General Debate, scheduled from September 22 to 28.

The 81st session of the UN General Assembly is being held under the theme "Restoring trust, managing transformation: A United Nations that delivers for all....
