Kohima, Aug. 12 -- In a swift and intelligence-driven operation, Assam Rifles, in close coordination with Thoubal Police Commandos, apprehended an active insurgent of the Kangleipak Communist Party (People's War Group) [KCP (PWG)] from the general area of Tekcham Maning Leikai in Thoubal District of Manipur on 11 August 2025, the release said.

The meticulously planned operation was launched following credible inputs regarding the movement of KCP (PWG) operatives in the region.
