Maharashtra, May 28 -- Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command, who has been appointed as the next Chief of the Naval Staff, paid a farewell courtesy call on the Governor of Maharashtra, Jishnu Dev Varma, at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan in Mumbai, the release said.

During the meeting, the Governor congratulated Vice Admiral Swaminathan on his appointment and extended his best wishes for a successful and distinguished tenure as the Chief of the Naval Staff.
