Lt Gen Mohit Malhotra takes charge as GOC-in-C of Army's South Western Command
Jaipur, July 2 -- Lieutenant General Mohit Malhotra assumed command of the Indian Army's South Western Command, which is headquartered in Jaipur, on Thursday.
According to a press release issued by PRO Defence Rajasthan, Lt Gen Malhotra was commissioned into the 47 Armoured Regiment in June 1989 and brings more than 37 years of service across command, staff and instructional appointments. Before taking over the new role, he served as the Chief of Staff at Headquarters Eastern Command, where he contributed to operational preparedness, organisational effectiveness and institutional cohesion.
