Khodang becomes 1st Kuki-Zo village resettled after 3 years; MLA Paolenlal inaugurates return
Khodang, May 28 -- In a landmark development for displaced communities, Khodang, a Kuki-Zo village situated in the buffer zone bordering Churachandpur, Kakching, and Bishnupur districts, officially welcomed its residents back on Thursday.
This marks the first instance of a Kuki-Zo village being resettled following the widespread displacement that began on May 3, 2023.
The momentous return was inaugurated by Saikot MLA Paolenlal, who cut the ribbon at a commemorative stone, followed by a dedication prayer led by Pastor Zalal of the GTPA.
