Thiruvananthapuram, May 4 -- Senior Keralam Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala once again proved his dominance in the State politics as the Election Commission declared a win for him from the Haripad constituency with a margin of 23377 votes against CPI candidate TT Jismon.
Chennithala secured a total of 68184 against Jismon, who received 44807 votes after 15 rounds of counting. Apart from Chennithala, another UDF candidate and former Keralam CM Oommen Chandy's son, Chandy Oommen, won from Puthuppally by a decisive margin of 52907 votes against CPI (M) candidate KM Radhakrishnan. Chandy, in total, got 84031 votes against Radhakrishnan, who registered 31124 votes as per the Election Commission.
