Kannur, Feb. 27 -- In a satirical escalation of the ongoing political row in Kerala in connection with Kerala health minister Veena George, activists of the Kerala Students Union (KSU), the student wing of the Indian National Congress, on Friday held a mock ceremony to send her "protective gear" and "Best Actress" trophy.

State General Secretary of the Kerala Students Union (KSU), Farhan Munderi, along with District Vice President Harikrishnan Palad and Prakeerth Munderi assembled in front of the Head Post Office in Kannur here with a trophy and a neck collar that they said will ensure her safety from "future air-borne injuries".

They said the items will be sent via post to George's official residence in Thiruvananthapuram.
