Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot accepts Nagendra's resignation over alleged irregularities
Bengaluru, Aug. 30 -- Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on Sunday officially accepted the resignation of Planning Minister B Nagendra from the Council of Ministers with immediate effect, following the recommendation of Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
Ballari Rural MLA had stepped down on Friday amid opposition BJP pressure over the alleged Karnataka Maharishi Valmiki Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation scam.
The Karnataka Gazette notification issued on Sunday stated, "Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar had forwarded Nagendra's resignation letter vide letter No. ACSCM/T/-/2026, dated 29.08.2026, with a recommendation for its acceptance."
