Bengaluru, June 28 -- The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) marked the start of a major infrastructure project by laying the foundation stone for a 3-lane twin tunnel road. The event was attended by Bengaluru Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, along with other prominent state officials and legislators, for the key infrastructure project in Bengaluru.

The proposed tunnel will start from the Hebbal flyover area and extend up to the UAS staff quarters near the Bengaluru campus of the University of Agricultural Sciences, passing through the Veterinary University and KVFSU campus premises.

The project aims to decongest traffic in the Hebbal junction area, one of Bengaluru's busiest corridors.
