Jammu, April 1 -- Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Wednesday criticised Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha over the removal of security for MLAs in the state following the Ganderbal encounter, calling the situation a "joke of democracy."

Speaking to reporters, Choudhary alleged that MLA security is being provided on a selective basis. He questioned the DGP about the Ganderbal encounter, asking whether the situation in the state is truly normal.
