New Delhi, July 14 -- India's net direct tax collections rose 16.4 per cent year-on-year to Rs 6.51 lakh crore as on July 13, 2026, reflecting healthy growth in both corporate and non-corporate tax receipts despite a rise in refunds, according to the latest data released by the Income Tax Department.

The data showed that net collections increased from Rs 5.59 lakh crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The growth was driven by robust gains in both corporate tax and non-corporate tax collections.
