New Delhi, July 30 -- The India-European Union (EU) Free Trade Agreement (FTA) includes a dedicated annexure on the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), with provisions to ease compliance for exporters, recognise India's future carbon pricing framework and address concerns of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Additional Secretary in the Commerce Ministry Darpan Jain said on Thursday.

Speaking at an event organised by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), Jain said, "CBAM was one of the topics which took up a lot of our negotiating capital.
