New Delhi, May 22 -- India and Cyprus have recognised the transformational potential of the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) in reshaping and promoting global trade, connectivity and prosperity during the state visit of Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides to India.

Addressing a special media briefing as part of President Christodoulides's visit, Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Sibi George on Friday said that both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment towards strengthening connectivity initiatives and fostering stability across the Eastern Mediterranean and the wider Middle East region.
