Hyderabad, April 23 -- The Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City Police, convened a pan-sector banking conclave to address bank account misuse and strengthen cyber fraud prevention on Thursday.

According to a release, in the wake of Operation Octopus, the Hyderabad City Police's coordinated two-phase initiative to dismantle organised cyber fraud networks, and the subsequent arrest of bank officials found potentially complicit in the opening of mule accounts, the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, VC Sajjanar, IPS, convened a high-level coordination meeting with senior representatives of the banking sector on April 23.
