Patna, April 3 -- As the Centre plans to bring amendments to the Nari Shakti Vandana Act, Union Minister Chirag Paswan on Friday lauded the BJP government's decision to convene a special session for said legislation, asserting that his party, the LJP (Ram Vilas), has consistently treated the topic with the utmost seriousness.
"Women have been demanding this, and our party has consistently supported it--even since the time of our late leader Ram Vilas Paswan Ji. We treated the Women's Reservation Bill with seriousness then, and now, with the government calling a special session, I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and hope the opposition will also support it," said Paswan.
