Gurugram, Aug. 26 -- Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is looking to expand the role of its joint venture with Samtel across display systems for upcoming aircraft platforms while increasing sourcing from the domestic ecosystem, HAL Chairman and Managing Director Ravi K said on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters at the inauguration of a Samtel-HAL joint venture facility, Ravi said the two companies have already been working together for several years and HAL now wants to take the partnership to more products and platforms.

"Going forward, we want to move ahead with all the other displays for our new product that is coming up. We want to work with the joint venture because capability-wise, they are already there," Ravi said.
