Gujarat to begin summer moong procurement at MSP from July 7; 14,383 farmers registered
Gandhinagar, July 1 -- The Gujarat government on Wednesday announced that procurement of summer moong at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) will begin across the state from July 7 under the Price Support Scheme (PSS) of the Central government's PM-AASHA Yojana.
According to a press release issued by the Gujarat CMO, the decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar. Sharing the details, Gujarat government spokesperson and Minister Jitubhai Vaghani said the procurement drive has been launched in the interest of farmers to ensure they receive remunerative prices for their produce.
