Vadodara, June 29 -- Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday announced the establishment of eight new Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) estates across five districts to strengthen investment, industrial development and employment in the state.

The announcement was made during the fourth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference held in Vadodara.

According to the state government, the new Smart Industrial Estates will be developed over 3,611 acres across Kheda, Ahmedabad, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur and Bhavnagar districts with modern infrastructure, amenities and an investment-friendly environment.
