New Delhi, April 5 -- In a move aimed at strengthening fertiliser availability amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainties in West Asia, Indian Potash Limited (IPL) has floated a global tender for the bulk import of granular and prilled urea, according to an official notice issued on April 4, 2026.
The tender comes as part of coordinated efforts under the Department of Fertilizers to ensure an uninterrupted supply of key agricultural inputs, even as global supply chains face pressure due to the evolving crisis in West Asia--a region critical to fertiliser production and exports.
