New Delhi, Aug. 5 -- The government has operationalised the inventory-based cross-border e-commerce export framework under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, enabling eligible e-commerce entities to undertake export-only inventory operations through registered Exporters-on-Record (EORs), according to a release by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The framework, notified through Notification No. 27/2026-27 and Public Notice No. 25/2026-27 dated August 5, 2026, provides the policy and procedural framework for facilitating inventory-based cross-border e-commerce exports of goods manufactured or produced in India.
