New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- Gold and gold-mining sector could remain attractive as the US Treasury seeks to keep long-term borrowing costs under control, with Jefferies saying that efforts to manage Treasury yields could raise concerns over dollar debasement and support demand for precious metals.

In a report, Jefferies said the US Treasury's focus on controlling long-term yields had become increasingly important for financial markets, even as investors continue to track the Federal Reserve's interest-rate decisions.
