Taipei, Sept. 1 -- The global semiconductor market is expected to be worth more than USD 2 trillion by 2030, driven by growing demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure, Focus Taiwan reported, citing an executive at Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI).

Clark Tseng, SEMI's senior director of market intelligence, said earlier projections had put the market at about USD 1 trillion by 2030 based on demand for traditional applications such as personal computers, smartphones and consumer electronics.
