George Kurian resigns from Union Council of Ministers, accepted by President
New Delhi, June 23 -- President Droupadi Murmu has accepted the resignation of George Kurian from the Union Council of Ministers with immediate effect on Tuesday, as advised by the Prime Minister, according to a press communique issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The communique stated that the resignation has been accepted under clause (2) of Article 75 of the Constitution of India.
"The President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister, has accepted the resignation of Shri George Kurian from the Union Council of Ministers, with immediate effect, under clause (2) of Article 75 of the Constitution," the statement from Rashtrapati Bhavan said.
