By 2036, India's towns and cities are expected to be home to 600 million people. Cities already generate around 63% of India's GDP, a figure projected to reach 75% by 2036. The World Bank estimates that India will need to invest approximately US$840 billion in urban infrastructure over 15 years to meet the demands of this transformation. Meanwhile, India's real estate industry itself is projected to grow from approximately US$290 billion in 2025 to US$970 billion by 2030.
