Chandigarh, Jan. 28 -- Chandigarh witnessed dense fog on Wednesday, significantly reducing visibility across several areas and affecting early morning traffic.

According to the India Meteorological Department forecast, the city is expected to record a maximum temperature of 19 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 8 degrees Celsius today, with a mainly clear sky, alongside dense to very dense fog conditions.

Meanwhile, the national capital witnessed a slight improvement in air quality on Wednesday morning, with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 273 at around 7 am, keeping it in the 'poor' category, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
