New Delhi, April 23 -- The Delhi High Court on Thursday listed the bail plea of former AAP MLA Naresh Balyan for a hearing on May 12. The plea came up for hearing after recusal by another judge earlier this week.

Balyan is an accsued in the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999 (MCOCA) case linked with an organised crime syndicate allegedly run by Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu. Balyan has been in custody since December 4, 2024.

Justice Manoj Jain listed the matter for hearing the arguements by counsel for Naresh Balyan on May 12 at 3 PM. His bail plea has been pending since 2025.

Earlier, on April 20, Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma recused from hearing the bail plea of Naresh Balyan and listed the matter before another bench.
