Delhi court takes cognisance of ED charge sheet, rejects ex-RCom director Punit Garg's bail plea in Rs 40,000 cr money laundering case
New Delhi, June 15 -- The Rouse Avenue Court took cognisance of the charge sheet filed against Former Reliance Communications (RCom) Director Punit Narendra Garg and other accused.
The Court has dismissed the bail plea of Punit Narendra Garg. His earlier interim bail plea on medical grounds was rejected in April.
He is an accused in an alleged money laundering case of Rs 40,000 crores. He has been charge-sheeted by the ED. He was arrested by the ED on January 29.
Special judge Ajay Gupta took cognisance of the prosecution complaint (Charge sheet) filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
