New Delhi, May 25 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta spearheaded the government's inaugural 'Metro Monday' campaign today. The Chief Minister opted for the Delhi Metro and public feeder buses to reach the Delhi Secretariat, setting a personal example for commuters across the capital.

Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's nationwide call for energy security and environmental preservation, the initiative marks a concerted effort by the Delhi administration to reduce reliance on private and official vehicles.

Joining the Chief Minister in this drive, cabinet ministers and senior officials also traded their official fleets for public transit, signalling a significant push toward greener, more efficient urban mobility.
