Delhi ACB arrests ex-minister Satyendar Jain, five others in Delhi Jal Board tender case
New Delhi, Aug. 18 -- The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of the Delhi government on Tuesday arrested six persons, including former Delhi Water Minister Satyendar Kumar Jain, in connection with an alleged corruption and criminal conspiracy case related to the tendering process for the upgradation of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) under the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).
The arrests were made in connection with an FIR registered on May 11, 2024, under provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018), along with relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code related to cheating, criminal breach of trust and criminal conspiracy.
