New Delhi, Aug. 15 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday hoisted the National Flag at his residence in New Delhi on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day.

Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and G Kishan Reddy also hoisted the tricolour at their respective residences and extended greetings to the people on the occasion.

Chouhan said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort and recalled his call for making the government visible in people's lives.
