New Delhi, April 1 -- Congress MP K Suresh on Wednesday strongly opposed the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) Amendment Bill, terming it anti-democratic and anti-constitutional, while asserting that it adversely affects minority organisations engaged in social welfare activities.
Speaking to ANI, he said, "We are going to oppose the FCRA Amendment Bill. It is totally against the minority community. So, the minority organisations take financial assistance from various agencies abroad. They are utilising that money for the welfare of the marginalised people and also for hospitals, schools, and orphanages. If this Bill is passed, their help will be stopped.
