Los Angeles, Aug. 24 -- Actress Charlize Theron reflected on her experience making 'Mad Max: Fury Road' at a special screening and discussion at the Academy Museum, recalling her bond with the film and the lasting impact of her character, Imperator Furiosa, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The 2015 action film, directed by George Miller, starred Theron as Furiosa, a warrior who leads the escape of female prisoners from tyrannical ruler Immortan Joe. Theron starred alongside Tom Hardy, who played Max Rockatansky. The film earned 10 Oscar nominations and won six awards.
