Chandigarh, Aug. 24 -- A Chandigarh court on Monday sent three accused arrested in connection with the recovery of explosive material in the city to five days of police remand.

The police had sought seven days' remand of the accused, but the court granted five days. The three accused will be produced before the court again on August 29.

The accused have been identified as Lovepreet Singh (19), a resident of Sarhali village in Tarn Taran district; Jashanpreet Singh alias Jashandeep (21), a resident of Deobath village in Tarn Taran; and Prabhpreet Singh alias Prabh (19), a resident of Tarsikka village in Amritsar district.

The three were produced before the court of Dr Parikshit, Civil Judge (Junior Division), earlier today.
