New Delhi, July 6 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the Project Director of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Shillong, and two private persons in connection with an alleged bribery case.

According to the release, the CBI registered the instant case on July 1 against the accused NHAI official, a private person and others based on a complaint alleging that the Project Director demanded a bribe of Rs 12 lakh from the complainant for processing an outstanding bill of Rs 13.38 crore.
