New Delhi [India], September 10 (ANI): As India prepares to host the 18th BRICS Summit, climate action is emerging as an important part of the grouping's 2026 agenda, with New Delhi seeking to place Global South priorities at the centre of discussions on energy transition, climate resilience, critical minerals and climate finance.
India, as the BRICS chair, has identified sustainability as one of the key areas, focusing on climate action, green finance, energy transitions and sustainable development. The agenda comes as developing economies face the twin challenge of pursuing growth while responding to rising climate risks and shifting towards cleaner technologies.
