Washington DC, Aug. 21 -- The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival will not take place in 2027, the major music festival announced on Friday, saying the event needed a "much-needed year off", citing years of challenges the festival has undergone due to severe inclement weather.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Bonnaroo shared a long note expressing gratitude to the attendees for this year's festival.

"To our Bonnaroo Family, THANK YOU for an epic Bonnaroo 2026. Our hearts are filled to the brim from the weekend that we shared in June. The Farm remains as special as ever, and for a few days, we were once again reminded of the good things in this world."
